Semlex, an international technology savvy company operating in several countries around the world, has come to The Gambia to provide biometric and security solutions to the nation, a press release sent to the Freedom Newspaper has revealed.
A limited liability company incorporated under Belgian law, SEMLEX EUROPE is registered with the Banque Carrefour des Entreprises.
SEMLEX Group, with over 20-year experience operating in various nations, is a recognised expert in biometric identification and authentication solutions.
“The company is the first to have implemented this technology in Africa (2001 in Ivory Coast and 2002 in Chad), responding to a need to fight against Identity fraud,” said the Country Representative, Ted McEwan.
The company has contracts with other ECOWAS member countries such as Guinea Conakry, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Niger and Ivory Coast, McEwan said, adding that it is present on 4 continents and more than 30 offices and representations in the world, the statement added…
